Ba Ria Vung Tau is one of main tourist areas in Vietnam with its touristy resources and potentiality where has an advantage position for developing tourist. Coming here, tourists should be comfortably bathed in the sea with many different nice, clean beaches. Some beach round along mountains with green forests, decorative plants and flower trees, some other round along natural virgin forests suiting for ecotourism. There are beaches such as: Thuy Van, Chi Linh, Bai Dua, Bai Dau, Bai Truoc in Vung Tau city, others such as: Thuy Duong in Long Hai, Ho Tram, Ho Coc in Xuyen Moc, Dat Doc, Bai Canh, Dam Trau, Hon Cau, Hon Tre in Con Dao…
Coming to Ba Ria Vung Tau province, tourists are not only bathed in the sea but also climbed up a mountains such as: Big Mountain, Small Mountain, visited Hai Dang historical monument, The God Statue, Bach Dinh historical monument. After you have bathed in the sea if you want strengthen your heath or relax, should come to Binh Chau hot spring in Xuyen Moc and visit Binh Chau – Phuoc Buu nature reserve with width of 12.000ha. Nowhere in Vietnam is as same as in Binh Chau where has hot spring originating and running between the virgin forest with hottest site 820C, normal site from 400C to 500C, steam mingle with trees in the virgin forest taking tourists to paradise. You can soak your feet, have a bath, boil eggs and go for a walk in the forest for relaxing. This ecotourism type is necessary in our life.
In addition, Ba Ria Vung Tau has also many famous landscapes and historical monuments such as: Hai Dang mountain, Kito God Statue, Niet Ban Tinh Xa on Tao Phung mountain (Small Mountain) with height 170m, Thich Ca Phat Dai on Tuong Ky mountain (Big Mountain) with height 249m, Long Son Big House, Thang Tam Temple… Long Phuoc tunnel, Historical Round House in Ba Ria town, Minh Dam Revolution Base Area, Long Phuong Ancient Temple, Long Ban Pagoda existed in 19th century in Long Dat District, Suoi Tien in Tan Thanh District, Bau Sen Tourist Park in Chau Duc District, Ho Tram, Ho Coc, Binh Chau – Phuoc Buu Virgin Forest in Xuyen Moc where are attracting tourists coming to Vung Tau City. Especially in Con Dao District with 14 big and small islands are sea ecotourism parks with Con Dao National Garden of width about 6000ha exclusive of area under water with many valuable and rare trees and animals, otherwises this is also place of the biggest historical heritages in Viet nam with prison systems from duration of France, America before.
Ba Ria Vung Tau province’s festivals are mainly about religious belief activities such as: Dinh Co Festival in Long Hai from 10th to 12th of annual lunar February, Double Nine Festival on 9th of lunar Septemper in Long Son, Whale Festival Procession in Whale Temple, Thang Tam Temple in Vung Tau on 16thof annual lunar August, Mieu Ba Festival on 16th, 17th, 18th of lunar October. These festivals are attracting tourists from Southern East provinces and neighbouring provinces such as: Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc coming here for joining the festivals, bathing in the sea and relaxing.
Accommodation service system is from superior to popular with 72 hotels, 40 villas about 3000 rooms, among them about 1300 international standard rooms. Especially tourists can see dog competition in Lam Son Stadium in Vung Tau on Sarturday weekly.
Some touristy project have been investing to improve some part of Thuy Van Beach, telpher project of Big Mountain – Small Mountain tourist park, television tower project on Nui Lon, projects for fishing, yacht, car rental, park for seeing dolphin performance and boat race in front beach. Projects are calling investment to develop entertainment parks on beach, under water, on mountain, in the sea, ecotourism parks, investing and upgrading beach environment, historical monuments, famous landscapes:
- Contributing capital together to invest for Big Mountain – Small Mountain telpher project.
- Investing for Ho Coc ecotourism park in Xuyen Moc.
- Investing for entertainment parks on Big Mountain, Small Mountain, Dinh Mountain, Minh Dam Mountain.
- Investing for tourist parks and villas of Ben Cat- Ho Tram Garden in Xuyen Moc.
- Investing for ecotourism parks in Con Dao.
